More than 100 KMTC-trained physiotherapists are already working in Germany — proof that Kenyan health professionals can pursue international careers through relevant qualifications, language preparation and structured employment pathways.

On Wednesday, September 16, KMTC hosted a German delegation — just one day after Kenya signed a labour-mobility Memorandum of Understanding with key German institution !1 s.

The agreement translates the Kenya-Germany Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement into practical employment opportunities for skilled Kenyan workers, supporting cooperation in skills development, recognition of qualifications, language preparation and ethical recruitment.

What this means for you:

KMTC now offers language training in German, Arabic, Portuguese and Amharic — giving students language and cross-cultural competencies that are increasingly valuable in international employment.

Deputy Director Academics Prof. Nyawira Mwangi, who led the engagement on behalf of CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch, said: "Our responsibility is to prepare graduates whose skills can serve Kenya while also enabling them to compete confidently in the global labour market. Language training, internationally relevant competencies and partnerships such as this are helping us prepare our students for opportunities beyond our borders."

Dr. Armin Zitzmann, President of the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Middle Franconia, led the German delegation. He said: "There is strong potential in Kenya's young and skilled workforce. Our visit to KMTC has helped us better understand the quality of training available and how we can build pathways that connect these skills with opportunities in Germany."

Why this matters beyond Physiotherapy:

Germany continues to seek skilled workers across several sectors. This cooperation framework creates a pathway for Kenyan institutions, employers and qualified professionals to engage through structured, ethical, skills-based routes — not informal or risky arrangements.

The skills, professional standards and language competencies you build at KMTC aren't limited to the Kenyan job market anymore. They're increasingly a passport to opportunities well beyond it.
