Growing Leaders Programme Session 12: Different Cultures, One People

Fourth module's session on leadership, national unity and development. Cultural diversity shapes how leaders define their roles and apply themselves to their responsibilities, and what a person does and says in one setting is read differently in another. Argues that recognising similarities and appreciating differences is how prejudice and intolerance are overcome and a more peaceful and productive world built, and that leaders are more effective when they take that approach. Closes on the discussion of the benefits to a leader of embracing cultural diversity and on the definitions of culture and cultural diversity.
