EBM 510 Tutorial Questions One: Worked Solutions

Worked answers to the first tutorial, showing the arithmetic rather than only the result. The pulse-width question is solved from the armature circuit equation, average voltage equal to armature current times the sum of armature and field resistance plus back electromotive force, giving 105 volts and then the on-time from the average voltage, supply and frequency, at 2.386 milliseconds; the second begins from the case of zero back electromotive force to find the starting current, and the remaining questions follow the same route through the chopper on-time, the armature resistance drop and the motor constant.
