EBM 403: Biomechanics I Second Semester Examination
Second semester examination for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, June 2017 sitting, paper reference EBM/403/2016. Question one defines joint reaction force and range of motion, the planes used to describe human motion, the six kinematic variables, design questions, hip arthroplasty implant types and blood flow modelled as a non-Newtonian fluid. Later papers cover goniometers, accelerometers and opto-electric imaging, the matrix method, components of total hip and knee arthroplasty, condylar against mobile-bearing designs, and tibiofemoral joint reaction force during stance.
