Engineering Practice and Ethics Handwritten Notes: Contracts, Organisation and Planning

Handwritten lecture notes, photographed page by page, continuing the unit. They take the law of contract and the obligations it places on an engineer, the liabilities and insurances that attach to professional practice including warranty, guarantee and indemnity, and then move to organisation: staff by duties, the line of communication, the recognised types of organisational structure, and the committee and the board with their advantages and disadvantages. Planning follows in its kinds, from strategic and tactical to operational, with process and production planning, engineering planning, and government and industrial planning. The last page is a specimen business letter answering an advertised engineering vacancy, written to a human resource manager with a curriculum vitae enclosed.
